Once upon a time, there was a single guy named Bob who decided to spend Valentine’s Day with his two couple friends, Tom and Karen, and John and Emily. Bob was excited to hang out with his friends, but he didn’t realize what he was getting himself into.
As they arrived at the restaurant, Bob quickly realized that he was the odd one out. Tom and Karen were busy whispering sweet nothings into each other’s ears, while John and Emily were holding hands and giggling like teenagers. Bob, on the other hand, sat awkwardly at the end of the table, pretending to look at the menu.
To make things worse, the waiter assumed that Bob was the third wheel and kept giving him pitying looks. When the food arrived, Bob couldn’t even enjoy his meal because Tom and Karen kept feeding each other and making goo-goo eyes at each other, while John and Emily were sharing food and taking selfies.
Bob tried to join in on the fun, but his attempts to flirt with the waitress fell flat, and he spilled his drink all over himself. Everyone at the table burst out laughing, but Bob was mortified.
As the night went on, Bob became more and more uncomfortable. When they went to the movies, he was sandwiched between Tom and Karen, who were making out and practically sitting on top of him. John and Emily, meanwhile, were cuddling and whispering to each other.
When the night finally ended, Bob was relieved to be heading home alone. But as he was saying goodbye, Tom and Karen gave him a sympathetic hug, while John and Emily exchanged a knowing look. It was then that Bob realized that he was the butt of their Valentine’s Day joke.
Bob went home feeling embarrassed and defeated, but he couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. From that day forward, he swore never to spend Valentine’s Day with couples again.
